The PARR SEO Method

Everything in SEO affects one of four things. Name them, score them, fix them in order. That is the whole idea.

PARR stands for Performance, Authority, Robots, and Relevancy. SERPslice founder Othy Morris developed it as a way to explain the technical side of search to business owners who have better things to do than learn industry jargon like "on page" and "off page" optimization.

The premise is simple: everything in SEO affects one of those four things. PARR became the guiding mindset of the company, and it is how we diagnose sites, prioritize the work, and report progress in language you can actually use.

The four areas

Performance

We start with a full site audit that analyzes more than 50 performance factors, from Core Web Vitals to code errors to site structure. Slow, bloated pages cost you both users and rankings. Most sites we take on begin in the middle of this range, usually held back by load time and clunky template code.

Authority

Authority is the hardest part of SEO, because having backlinks is not enough. You need relevant ones. We score your overall presence on the SERP, your incoming links, referred traffic from social channels, branded searches, your review volume, and how well developed your Google Business Profile is.

Robots

Robots covers how well web crawlers can read your site. A crawler has to reach your pages and report what it finds before the algorithm can decide whether to index and rank them. Missing schema markup, meta titles and descriptions, open graph tags, and alt text all break that chain. Easy drag and drop templates are frequently the culprit.

Relevancy

Relevancy is how well your site matches what real people are actually searching for, including inside AI answer engines. We compare the words you rank for, the words your named competitors rank for, and the words you want to rank for, then measure all of it against the live SERP.

How the score works

Every new client gets an overall PARR score before any work begins. Scores run from 0 to 10 in each area, which shows you how your site compares and shows us exactly where the biggest gains are hiding.

The score is not a vanity metric and it is not graded on a curve. It exists so you can see the same picture we see, in the same language, before you spend anything. It also gives us both an honest baseline to measure against later.

Where PARR fits in the work

The score is the starting point, not the deliverable. Here is the sequence it drives.

  1. Audit

We benchmark where you actually stand: technical health, current rankings, content coverage, backlink profile, and what your competitors are doing better than you.

  2. Strategy

You get a prioritized roadmap tied to revenue, sequenced so the highest impact work happens first rather than whatever happens to be easiest.

  3. Execution

We do the work every month. Technical fixes shipped, content published, links earned. You see exactly what was done and why.

  4. Measurement

We report on rankings, traffic, and conversions, then feed what we learn back into the roadmap so the plan keeps sharpening.

Find out where you actually stand.
