Web Design

Websites built to be found, not just admired.

We design it, write every page, build it, and put a search foundation underneath. Copywriting and SEO groundwork are included rather than quoted back to you later.

What it is

A website build is design, words, and engineering, in that order. We interview you, agree the sitemap, research the search terms your customers actually use, and take a PARR baseline of whatever you have now. Then we design it, write every page, build it, wire up your forms or your checkout, and move the old site across without breaking the links.

Judge a design quote by templates, not pages. Your site does not need 50 unique designs. It needs a handful of templates applied consistently, so that every service page looks like it belongs to the same company as every other service page. An agency counting pages is selling you volume. An agency counting templates is selling you a system.

One thing we do not do is build custom web applications. Not portals, not booking engines, not calculators with a database behind them. If your project needs one, we will help you find a developer we trust and build the website around what they make. We would rather say that in the first meeting than learn on your budget.

Platforms

Two ways we build

We build in two places, deliberately. A shop that claims to build expertly in six systems is usually mediocre in all of them, so we picked two and got good at them. We recommend one during discovery and tell you why.

WordPress

Divi or Oxygen 6

WordPress powers roughly two out of every five websites in the world, which means you are never locked in to one agency, one host, or one developer. Divi hands back to you cleanly, so your team can edit pages without touching code. Oxygen 6 produces a leaner, faster site when speed matters more than in-house editing.

Best when

  • Your team edits the site themselves
  • You are running an online store
  • You want the widest pool of developers who could take over

Static build

The fastest thing we make

A static site is assembled ahead of time instead of being generated on every visit. There is no database to attack, no plugins to conflict, and almost nothing to break. Core Web Vitals are close to perfect out of the box and hosting costs next to nothing. We pair it with a simple editor so you can still change your own content.

Best when

  • Speed and search performance are the priority
  • Content changes occasionally rather than daily
  • You want the smallest possible security surface

The honest tradeoff: WordPress has a far larger pool of developers who can pick it up, and that portability is worth real money if you ever leave. A static build trades some of that for speed and security. We will tell you which side of that trade your business should be on. This website is a static build, so you are looking at the work.

What's included

What every Web Design engagement includes.

Copywriting on every page

We write the site. No content questionnaire, no waiting on you to draft pages, no separate copy invoice.

Search foundation

Schema, clean metadata, a speed pass, and a PARR baseline taken before and after, so you can see what the new site actually changed.

Design system and templates

A home page plus inner templates applied consistently, rather than a pile of one-off page designs that drift apart over time.

Migration and redirect map

Every old address sent to the right new one. A launch without a redirect map is the most common way a business loses years of search visibility in one afternoon.

Imagery sourced for you

Stock and AI-generated imagery so a launch is never held up waiting on photographs. Any license fee on an image you pick is billed at cost.

Tested by a human

Every form submitted by a person before we call it done. Every store test ordered end to end through payment, tax, and shipping.

Payment is 40 percent at kickoff, 30 percent at design approval, and 30 percent at launch. Paid plugin, theme, and extension licenses are bought in your name and billed to you, and we tell you exactly which ones your site needs before you commit.

Our approach

How we handle Web Design.

01

Discovery

We interview you, agree the sitemap, research the search terms, take a PARR baseline of your current site, and audit what is worth keeping. It produces nothing you can look at, and it decides whether the other 90 percent of the money is spent well.

02

Design

Home page first, then the inner templates. You approve at each gate before we spend money on the next phase, so nothing gets built on a direction you did not sign off.

03

Copy and build

We write every page and build the site, wiring up your forms or your checkout as we go, with the schema and metadata going in as we build rather than being retrofitted later.

04

Test and launch

A human submits every form. Stores get a real test order pushed through payment, tax, and shipping. The redirect map goes live with the site, and we take the second PARR reading.

Post-launch

After launch

A website is software, and software nobody tends to will break on its own. Plugins update, plugins conflict, and the contact form that worked in March quietly stops sending mail in June. Nobody notices, because nothing looks wrong. The phone simply stops ringing.

So every package includes three months of maintenance after you go live. Updates tested on a private copy first, backups, monitoring, and a human being who submits your form and, if you sell online, runs a test order. Those three months are not a trial. They are how we make sure the site we handed you survives contact with the real world.

Tested before it ships

Updates go to a private staging copy first and a person opens the site and looks at it. Then the update goes live.

If we break it, we fix it free

If an update we installed breaks your site, we fix it at no charge and restore it within 24 hours of you telling us.

Quarterly PARR check

A health score on your site every quarter, the thing most agencies sell as a $500 to $2,500 site audit.

Managed hosting if you want it

Included in any plan at no extra charge. Keep your own hosting instead if you would rather hold the keys. No discount, no penalty.

After the included three months, continuing is your call. Because we built the site there is no onboarding to pay for, so our build clients get a better rate than anyone walking in off the street. Rates are on the pricing page. See maintenance rates →
